Many of you may already know that Andrew and I have been living in Riga for the past month now. It has been quite the adventure and I can't even believe that we have been here this long already! It really is a wonderful opportunity to see a different culture and see many other cultures and parts of the world, being in Europe. I thought that Riga would be just like Russia. It is not! Here, it seems that everyone speaks English and some people don't even speak Russian. It is definitely more European here and less Russian but we accept and embrace all of the differences.

Both Andrew and I are participating in Russian speaking internships: I am working as an assistant tour guide and and arts and crafts workshop guide at the Latvian Museum of Applied Art and Design, and Andrew is working on translating a book, "A History of Jews in Latvia," from Russian to English for the Jewish Ghetto Museum here in Riga.

Although it is hard to be away from home especially now that we are expecting a little baby, we really are grateful to be here and embrace the many creations of our Father in Heaven across the world.
