One weekend we took a trip to London! And pretty much the whole time I was thinking about the movie "What a Girl Wants." Anyone? I love that movie. Here is just a brief recount of our London adventure.  We spent one day in London, and then 2 days in a suburb to visit the LDS Temple.

Buckingham Palace

Even though this banner on the bus is talking about the Book of Mormon musical, I still thought that the banner was good advertisement for the church.

Westminister Cathedral
This was a really pretty cathedral. We got to go inside and there was a children's Easter pageant going on which was so cute! Beautiful songs and narration. It was very touching.

St. James Park
I really wish we could have seen this place in the summer time because I am sure it is so gorgeous when it is all green and bright. Here it just looks a little brown and cold...but still very pretty.
Oh my gosh! This squirrel was way to used to people. He would let us get so close to him; I'm sure If I tried, he would have let me pick him up. He would literally chase us around. Silly little squirrel.

Churchill War Rooms

He found the books...

This was the only restaurant that we could find in walking distance from or hotel by the temple. The most expensive burgers we had ever had...But the waitress was so so so nice, and it was pretty cool to be in a small town English pub.

London Temple:
We had a wonderful time doing temple work in this temple and meeting many English members of the church.

On Sunday we went to the local ward. The topic of Sacrament meeting was missionary work and it was a very touchy subject for me because that very day was the one year anniversary of my returning home from my mission, so I got very emotional.  We met so many great people in the ward and they welcomed us with warmness. On the way out of church a sister handed us 40 pounds for the train ride back to London for our flight, saying it was from an anonymous member of the ward who wanted to help us out.
We met a missionary couple from Wales in the ward who invited us over to their house for lunch and drove us back to the train station to go back to London.  They were so kind.

Blessings come to those who keep the Sabbath Day holy. We have seen that throughout our entire marriage so far. As we are obedient to the commandments and go to all three blocks of church when we travel, we will be blessed.
